On December 03, 2015, International Director of the Institute of Science and Technology (Yenagoa, Nigeria) Sergii Derevianko was in working visit to the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas (IFNTUOG ) (Ukraine) (http://nung.edu.ua/en).

Main purpose of visit was discussion and signing agreements of cooperation between both universities.

Deputy Director of the Petroleum Institute, Associate Professor of the Department of oil and gas transportation and storing, Olexander Susak and Director of Center for international integration of higher education and Assistant Professor of philology and translation Galyna Malyk took part in discussion of details and factual content of agreement from Ukrainian side.

Discussed agreement provides establishing cooperation between the IFNTUOG and the Institute of Science and Technology in several directions, namely: development and implementation of programs of students exchange; admission to IFNTUOG of Joint NTUU “KPI” (Ukraine) and IST pre-admission department graduates (located directly at the Institute of Science and Technology in Yenagoa), providing by IFNTUOG professors of educational services for students of Nigerian University-partner, as well as for employees of the oil and gas industry in Nigeria to increase their skills in IFNTUOG, in particular in the Training Drilling Center, which has an international accreditation and may issue International Standard certificates of the second, third and fourth level in the direction of “Well control. Well control during fluids appearance”.

New Agreement of collaboration between Oil and Gas University from Ukraine and the Institute of Science and technology has been signed by the Rector, corresponding member of NAS of Ukraine, doctor of technical sciences, professor Yevstakhiy Kryzhanivskyi, which stressed the importance of such a step for the development of both universities and deepening international connections between Ukraine and Nigeria.
